How to lose Belly Fat
Body stores excess calories over what it burns to function, into fat. The bottom line is, if you eat too much and don’t move around, your body will store fat anywhere it can, hence comes big belly fat.
So, #1 strategy is not to consume excess calories, exercise and do moderate strength training! Don’t eat unless you feel hungry when your body sends a signal it needs fuel. You should listen to your body.
This is where intermittent dieting makes sense. Early humans were hunter/gathers and didn’t eat 3 meals a day. They would go on empty stomach for a longer period until they find food. Human bodies had to adjust to that. That is the basis of intermittent fasting.
So, to lose belly fat, these are the things you can do:
1. Intermittent Fasting
There are a few different types but I do 16:8, meaning I don’t eat from 8pm – 12PM the next day. Intermittent fasting activates hormonal changes in the body reducing body fat. Read more at
2. Apple Cider Vinegar
Drink 1-2 table spoons of Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with a glass of lukewarm water before meals once or twice a day.
Acetic acid in apple cider vinegar can curve down fat deposition and facilitate metabolizing fat. In 2009, they conducted a trial on 175 people who consumed a drink containing 0, 1, or 2 tablespoons of vinegar daily. After three months, the participants who drank vinegar lost weight of 2-4 lbs and resulted in lower triglyceride levels than the participants who didn't.
3. Bitter Melon
Bitter Melon, a Chinese vegetable, can aid in reducing belly fat and weight loss.

4. Change your diet. Eat more high-quality protein and fiber-rich food like whole grain, vegetables, etc. Cut down on trans fat.
5. Avoid alcohol and sugary drinks or food. When you put sugar in your body, body releases insulin trying to balance blood sugar. Insulin stores excess sugar into fat.
We want to force our body to use up the fat stored in fat cells. Imagine them as little fat packets like those small vitamin C packets. These packets will be released for energy when you need. When you eat less and start exercising, your body has to turn to using these fat packets for energy. This reduces the fat content in the packet. Once a cell loses its content, it will shrink in size and eventually die. In other words, you will have less fat cells eventually where fat can be stored.
