HOW TO MAKE RICE WATER & GREEN TEA FACIAL TONER

Rice water has tremendous skin benefits by minimizing pores, keeping it smooth and tight. It also has brightening effects lightening dark age spots and moisturizing.

Green tea contains an antioxidant called “EGDG”, effective in   rejuvenating   Morning Skincare routinedying skin cells bringing healthy glow to your skin.  Vitamin B in green tea also helps maintain collagen production.  Green tea also has slight astringent effect with a moderate amount of caffeine by shrinking blood vessels.

1.   Rinse ½ Cup of rice (white or brown) once to remove any debris or dirt stuck in rice and discard the water. Add approximately 1.5 Cup of water again to rice in a bowl and let it sit for 15-30 minutes.  Water will turn cloudy.  Pour the rice water into an air tight container and keep it in the fridge for other use like hair-rinsing.  Rice water is excellent for hair.

2.   Boil water and make very strong green tea and let it cool.

3.   Take a clean small mist-spray bottle (I use 30ml/1 oz) and fill it with     toner

 50%  rice water

 40%  green tea

 10%  vodka

Shake and keep it in the refrigerator for a week or so.  Make a small portion so that you use it up in a week or two.  I spray this toner on my face first thing in the morning when I wake up.  I try to save money spend on toner and invest in quality performance facial creams.
